SENIOR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY CONSULTANT

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Consultant to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, cloud-native development, and modern DevOps practices. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, secure, and scalable solutions that support critical business functions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy Java-based microservices and distributed applications.

Build scalable RESTful APIs and backend services using Spring Boot and related frameworks.

Collaborate with architects, product owners, and development teams to define technical solutions and application architecture.

Implement best practices for application security, performance, reliability, and maintainability.

Develop and integrate services with databases, messaging systems, and third-party applications.

Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and development guidelines.

Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.

Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment strategies.

Support cloud migration and cloud-native application development initiatives.

Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical leadership within the team.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

Minimum 6 years of experience in Java application development.

Minimum 3 years of experience working with Microservices architecture.

Strong expertise in:

Java 8/11/17+

Spring Boot

Spring MVC

Spring Data JPA/Hibernate

RESTful Web Services

Microservices Design Patterns

Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.

Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and software design patterns.

Experience with version control systems such as Git.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with:

Spring Cloud

API Gateway

Service Discovery (Eureka, Consul)

Distributed Caching (Redis)

Messaging Platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ)

Event-Driven Architecture

Working knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

Familiarity with Terraform, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and cloud automation.

Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
