About the role
SUMMARY:
Mile High Behavioral Healthcare serves homeless young adults in Denver, which is where the vast majority of this population lives in Colorado. MHBHC provides all of the evidence based mental health and substance abuse disorder treatment. For 56 years, MHBHC has provided innovative, culturally responsive substance abuse and mental health programs to high needs residents.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
· Responsible for the overall execution and management of the behavioral health program.
· Coordinate experiential therapies for clients.
· Serve as an ambassador to other service providers in the community.
· Collect relevant data for ongoing program evaluation and overseeing program volunteers.
· Provide substance abuse and mental health evaluations/problem identification, crisis interventions, and individual/group to clients.
· Provide case management services to clients as needed or assigned.
· Develop treatment plans; monitor treatment progress and follow up at disposition times.
· Assist clients with psychological development, social development, and rehabilitation.
· Assist clients in accessing community support services, and supervisory sessions as required.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Master’s degree in counseling, psychology or social work and/or equivalent professional experience required;
· Experience working with persons from the population of focus.
· CACII license is preferred
· Case management experience and experience creating and maintaining treatment and recovery plans are preferred.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
· Knowledge of methods of psychotherapy.
· Knowledge of community resources.
· Ability to assess crisis situations and intervene appropriately.
· Familiarity with the DSM V and diagnostic techniques.
· Effective written and verbal communication skills.
· Good rapport with the client population
· Ability to work flexible and on-call hours which may be required.
COMPENSATION:
This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits. Salary is commensurate with experience.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
