About the role
Our client is seeking an experienced MiFIR Business Analyst to support the delivery of key regulatory change initiatives across its Markets business. Working within a dynamic, cross-functional environment, you will play a pivotal role in analysing regulatory requirements, defining business solutions, and ensuring compliance with MiFIR transaction reporting obligations.
This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with Front Office, Compliance, Operations, Risk, and Technology teams on high-profile regulatory programmes, collaborating with stakeholders across both London and Amsterdam.
Responsibilities
Gather, analyse, and document business and regulatory requirements relating to MiFIR and associated regulatory reporting obligations
Work closely with Front Office, Compliance, Operations, Risk, and Technology teams to deliver regulatory change initiatives
Conduct impact assessments, gap analyses, and process reviews across trading and regulatory reporting workflows
Produce detailed business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, process maps, and test documentation
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect resolution, and implementation activities to ensure successful project delivery
Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders across London and Amsterdam to drive regulatory initiatives through to completion
Assist with governance activities, project reporting, and regulatory readiness to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements
Requirements
Proven experience as a Business Analyst within Investment Banking, Capital Markets, or Regulatory Reporting programmes
Strong knowledge of MiFIR transaction reporting, transparency requirements, reference data reporting, and associated regulatory obligations
Demonstrable experience delivering regulatory change initiatives within Markets or Trading environments
Excellent business analysis skills, including requirements gathering, documentation, process mapping, and stakeholder management
Strong understanding of financial products and the end-to-end trade lifecycle
Experience working within Agile and/or Waterfall delivery methodologies
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both business and technology stakeholders
Nice to have
Knowledge of related regulatory frameworks, including EMIR, MiFID II, SFTR, and CFTC reporting
Experience working within international or cross-border delivery teams
Familiarity with SQL, JIRA, Confluence, and data analysis tools
Understanding of transaction reporting controls, reconciliations, regulatory data quality frameworks, and governance processes
