Platform Engineer

Roles and responsibilities:

Extensive experience with software installation and platform administration, specifically SAS Viya 4 on Azure and SAS 9.4.

Experience migrating from SAS 9.4 to SAS Viya 4.

Extensive experience with applying patches, upgrades, and hotfixes to SAS Viya/SAS 9.4 components with minimal downtime.

Experience with DevSecOps pipelines using Terraform, Jenkins, BitBucket, JFrog Artifactory, GitHub Actions.

Experience with SAS Viya CLI and API.

Experience working with Snowflake and automate deployment using pipelines

Experience in deploying and managing Azure Kubernetes Service.

Experience in troubleshooting and resolving issues across SAS Viya application, container, and infrastructure layers.

Experience with Kubernetes, containers, monitoring, automated governance, and compliance of SAS Viya 4 Platform.

Experience working with Azure services – ADLSGen2, Azure NetApp Files, Azure File Premiums, Azure PostgreSQL Flexible.

Experience in managing user access, authentication, authorization, and RBAC/SCIM integration with enterprise identity providers (OIDC, SAML, LDAP, Entra ID, SailPoint).

Experience with integration of SAS Viya 4 with other enterprise systems and data sources.

Experience with scheduling tools such as Control-M and LSF

Exposure to change/rele ase management processes in large organisations

Strong understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems.

Background in Agile methodologies and tools (Jira / Confluence) with ability to collaborate with delivery teams and successfully execute CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.

Experience in environments with a focus on security, risk, and compliance.

Understanding of microservices architecture.

Knowledge of Azure Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) model.

Knowledge of Azure Cloud network security and data protection best practices.

Passion for becoming a leader in your technical domain expertise area.

Knowledge of CI/CD methodologies, processes, and tools in a cloud-based environment, ideally Microsoft Azure.
