Job Overview

Team/Role Overview

Citi's HR team is looking for a Talent Acquisition Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of complex technology and non-technology projects within our Workforce Intelligence & Talent Acquisition function - driving measurable outcomes across all stages of the project lifecycle. In this role, you will operate at the intersection of project governance, stakeholder management, and people leadership, shaping how large-scale initiatives are planned, executed, and closed across a globally connected organisation.

What you'll do

Lead the full project lifecycle - from initiation and planning through execution, go-live, and post-implementation review - ensuring each stage is delivered on scope, on time, and within budget.

Design and manage governance structures for complex projects, including working groups, operating committees, and steering committees, ensuring senior stakeholders are engaged and informed at appropriate intervals, in adherence with Citi Project Management Policy and formal project governance standards.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across all project stages using Citi's Project Tracking System (PTS), ensuring all key project artefacts are stored and accessible throughout the project lifecycle.

Own project status reporting end-to-end, tailoring communication to different stakeholder audiences - from working-level teams through to senior leadership - and proactively managing escalations and change control processes.

Establish a clear project delivery roadmap, embed risk identification processes early, and coordinate cross-functional input to resolve emerging issues before they affect delivery.

Oversee and/or Pilot processes, testing and UAT frameworks to ensure requirements are traceable, testing is tracked formally, and sign-off is secured from all relevant stakeholders before go-live.

Coach and develop junior project managers within the team, setting high standards for project management practice and supporting individuals' professional growth.

Drive a data-led approach to decision-making, monitoring resource usage and budget throughout the delivery cycle to optimise allocation and outcomes.

What we'll need from you:

Solid project management experience, with a background in financial services or a similarly regulated environment.

Demonstrated ability to manage projects across every stage of the lifecycle - from scoping and planning through to post-implementation review - without gaps in ownership.

Confident operating within structured governance frameworks while adapting approach when the context demands agility and flexibility.

Skilled at identifying risks and issues before they escalate, applying root cause analysis to generate workable solutions and keep delivery on track.

Able to build and manage detailed project plans, track budgets and schedules, assess scope changes, and communicate impact clearly to stakeholders at all levels.

Strong communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders, align cross-functional teams, and maintain momentum across complex workstreams.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent university-level qualification.

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications

PMP certification is strongly preferred; Six Sigma qualification is an advantage.

Familiarity with HR processes, practices, or operating models - candidates with experience managing projects in an HR or Talent Acquisition context will have a strong advantage.

Master's degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field.

Use of Project Management Software eg PTS, MS Project, Visio, and the broader MS Office suite for planning, reporting, and stakeholder communication; familiarity with formal project tracking and reporting tools is an advantage.
