We are seeking a highly experienced Gasoline Engine Controls Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead the development and implementation of advanced engine control algorithms for spark-ignited powertrain systems. This role plays a critical part in delivering robust, production-ready software by working across cross-functional engineering teams in a fast-paced, Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and enhance gasoline engine control algorithms across the full V-model development lifecycle
Collaborate with systems, calibration, and software teams to define requirements and implementation strategies
Design and implement AUTOSAR-compliant software components and interfaces (SWCs, ARXML)
Analyze and integrate CAN communication (DBC files) and ECU interfaces across vehicle architectures
Develop and validate control strategies using MIL, HIL, dyno, and in-vehicle testing environments
Support diagnostics implementation including OBD, DIDs, PIDs, and fault handling strategies
Define software architecture, feature variants, and memory optimization strategies
Generate software builds and validate integration using embedded systems and rapid prototyping
Create and maintain technical documentation including CFTS, CCDD, DVP&R, and ADD
Lead design reviews and provide subject matter expertise to internal stakeholders and leadership
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, standups, and program reviews
Track feature delivery, ensure quality standards, and support regulatory compliance requirements
