Project Manager, HR Processes and Programs
This role is part of Alcon's Project Management function, a team that ensures all regular and one-off projects are planned, organized, and executed effectively to help our people and the world see brilliantly. The Manager, Project/Program Management (Professional Path), is primarily responsible for leading and coordinating projects and programs to ensure they meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards. You will build effective relationships with collaborators, drive project planning, manage risks, allocate resources, and ensure compliance with company policies.

Lead and oversee the successful execution of projects and programs
Provide strategic guidance to project teams
Ensure projects are completed within stipulated timelines and budgets
Coordinate with various stakeholders
Drive project planning, risk management, and resource allocation

Apply advanced knowledge, skills, and experience to achieve objectives predominantly through self-directed work.

The Project Manager will lead the delivery of the Elevate HR Transformation and Continuous Improvement Program, driving large-scale process reengineering, HR technology enablement, and program management initiatives. This role is accountable for ensuring timely, high-quality execution of transformation milestones, aligning stakeholders globally, and delivering measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Program & Project Delivery
Support the Program Workstream Leads in delivery of end-to-end transformation programs across HR functions
Ensure delivery against timelines, scope, and budget with strong governance controls
Create, own & manage the program roadmap, program / project planning, execution & deployment roadmap & plans and program / project governance
2. Transformation & Process Reengineering
Partner with Process Engineers to enable the process reengineering initiatives aligned to global HR taxonomy and best practices.
Enable the application of Project Management, Lean, and Agile methodologies to improve efficiency, cycle time, and employee experience.
Enable the AI, upgrading the HR tools & tech stack and process automation across HR processes.
3. Stakeholder & Governance Management
Partner with HR leaders, HR COE's, HR Ops, HRIS, IT, and all other program stakeholders globally to deliver the program
Establish and drive program governance, cadence, and reporting mechanisms.
Facilitate executive reviews, steering committees, and decision forums.
4. Change Management & Adoption
Collaborate with change management teams to drive communication strategy, stakeholder engagement and adoption tracking
Ensure smooth transition from design to deployment to sustainment.
5. Performance Tracking & Outcomes
Define and monitor KPIs, success metrics, and value realization.
Drive data-driven decision making using dashboards and reporting tools.
Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and issue resolution.
Qualifications & Experience
8–10+ years of overall experience in program/project management.
Minimum 4+ years in end-to-end transformation programs (mandatory).
Proven experience managing large-scale, cross-functional global initiatives.
Experience in HR transformation programs is a strong advantage.
Education
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent preferred.
Certifications (Preferred)
PMP / PRINCE2 certification
Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt / Black Belt)
