About the role
The role ensures clear product vision, roadmap ownership, and strong value delivery, translating Genesis objectives into well‑defined product outcomes aligned to procurement priorities. This includes shaping product strategy, defining success metrics, prioritising backlogs, and ensuring products are delivered in line with agreed objectives, timelines, and governance standards.
The Product Manager works closely with programme leadership, delivery teams, business stakeholders, and enabling IT&D functions to maintain transparency, support informed decision‑making, and ensure that Genesis products deliver measurable business value. This includes contributing to executive forums (e.g. Steering Committee and EOLT) with clear product insights on progress, risks, dependencies, and benefits realization.
Your responsibilities
Product Strategy & Ownership
Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for multiple AI products across the Source‑to‑Pay lifecycle (e.g. sourcing, negotiations, contracting, supplier management, buying, savings tracking).
Translate Procurement strategy and pain points into high‑value AI use cases, balancing innovation with practical business impact.
Define product success through clear value metrics, KPIs, and adoption measures, ensuring benefits are realised and sustained.
AI Product Delivery
Lead the end‑to‑end product lifecycle: discovery, POCs, MVPs, scaling, and continuous improvement.
Shape and prioritise the product backlog, working closely with Product Owners, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, AI Engineers, Business Analysts, and Architects.
Ensure AI products are designed responsibly, with appropriate consideration for model performance, explain ability, data quality, security, and compliance.
Stakeholder and External Partners Management
Act as the primary interface between Procurement, IT&D and Partners/Vendors
Partner closely with Procurement leaders across GBS to ensure tight business alignment on benefits delivery and adoption.
Manage and govern relationships with external partners, ensuring outcomes, delivery quality, and knowledge Innovation and Thought Leadership
Stay current with AI trends including LLMs, agent‑based systems, optimisation algorithms, game theory, and decision intelligence, and assess their relevance for Procurement.
Champion experimentation and learning, helping the organisation move from proof‑of‑concept to scaled value.
Act as an AI evangelist within Procurement, able to simplify complex concepts for non‑technical stakeholders.
The experience we're looking for
Skills/Experiences
Essential
12+ years of experience as a Product Manager delivering digital or AI driven products.
Strong Procurement domain knowledge, particularly across the Source to Pay process.
Solid understanding of AI and analytics concepts, including LLMs, ML models, algorithms, and data pipelines (hands on coding not required).
Ability to work effectively in complex, matrixed environments with global stakeholders.
Experience working with external vendors and partners to deliver technology products.
Desirable
Experience delivering AI products in procurement, supply chain, or enterprise functions.
Familiarity with concepts such as agentic AI, optimisation, simulation, and game theory.
Experience operating within Agile / product led delivery models.
Background in transformation, innovation, or advanced analytics programmes.
Technical / Professional Qualifications:
Essential
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related discipline.
Proven experience using product and delivery management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira, Productboard, or similar) to manage backlogs, roadmaps, and delivery flow.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint (executive storytelling), PowerBI (analysis and value tracking), and Word.
Solid understanding of digital and AI product lifecycles, including discovery, MVP delivery, scaling, and benefits realisation.
Desired
Certification or formal training in Product Management (e.g., Pragmatic, SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager, Scrum Product Owner).
Certification or training in Agile / Scaled Agile methodologies.
Exposure to or training in AI, analytics, or data driven products (e.g., Generative AI, Machine Learning fundamentals)
