Job Summary

The postholder will support the MMPS clinical teams with Best Value Medicines to deliver a programme of work that optimises the use of best value medicines in agreed clinical areas. Develop project management support for the BVM programme to plan, track and support the delivery of the programme of work related to medicines switches.

Woking alongside clinical pharmacists, develop the role of Specialist Technician validation, sharing best practice and developing training plans and guidance. This will include amongst others the validation of homecare prescriptions and, validation and ordering of medicines used for treatment on the day case unit.

We’re looking for an experienced Clinical Pharmacy Technician to come and join us at Leeds Teaching Hospitals to support the MMPS clinical teams with Best Value Medicines to deliver a programme of work that optimises the use of best value medicines in agreed clinical areas.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and delivery focussed individual to work with a wide range of stakeholders to oversee and deliver a diverse range of projects relating to Best Value Medicines switches across LTHT.

The postholder will work with and support the clinical pharmacy teams, sharing best practice to deliver key medicines savings. You’ll be experienced in clinical pharmacy services and will develop the role of Specialist Clinical Pharmacy Technician validation in relation to homecare and daycase prescriptions.
