Payroll Specialist (Temporary – 3 Months)

4 Days per Week in the Office

We are seeking an immediately available and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our client on a 3-month temporary assignment based in Canary Wharf. This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional who can hit the ground running and manage a complex payroll environment with confidence and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

End-to-end processing of payroll for 400+ employees across multiple entities.

Ensuring payroll is processed accurately and in line with company policies and statutory requirements.

Managing payroll queries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.

Liaising directly with line managers and key stakeholders to gather and verify payroll information.

Processing starters, leavers, salary changes, bonuses, deductions, and statutory payments.

Producing payroll reports and supporting payroll audits where required.

Maintaining payroll records and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

Skills & Experience Required:

Proven experience managing payroll for 400+ employees.

Experience processing payroll across 10+ entities.

Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to manipulate and analyse large volumes of data using formulas, pivot tables, and reporting functions.

Strong communication skills with the confidence to work closely with line managers and stakeholders at all levels.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Available to start at short notice.
