Role Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Account Executive (Accounting) to manage day-to-day financial operations while ensuring accurate financial reporting and statutory compliance.

The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of accounting principles, GST, TDS, Indian taxation, and MIS reporting, along with hands-on experience in accounting software such as Zoho Books or Tally. This role will also involve coordinating with clients for subscription billing and payment follow-ups to ensure timely collections.

You will play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting audits, managing receivables, and providing timely financial insights to the management team.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations.

Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Follow up with clients for monthly subscription payments, ensure timely collections, and coordinate with internal teams to resolve billing or payment-related queries.

Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports.

Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements.

File GST returns, TDS returns, and other statutory filings within prescribed timelines.

Perform bank reconciliations and monitor daily cash flow.

Maintain proper documentation of invoices, payments, receipts, and financial records.

Work extensively on Zoho Books, Tally, or similar accounting software.

Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports for management review.

Analyze financial data to provide insights on revenue, expenses, collections, and overall business performance.

Support audits by preparing necessary financial documents and schedules.

Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and financial efficiency.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com), Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

Minimum 1+ year of experience as an Accountant or Account Executive.

Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and Indian taxation laws.

Hands-on experience with Zoho Books, Tally, or similar accounting software.

Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.

Strong proficiency in MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, reporting, and data handling).

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills.

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

Experience working in a startup or SaaS environment.

Exposure to subscription billing, recurring revenue, and customer collections.

Experience in MIS reporting and financial analysis.

Understanding of business KPIs, revenue tracking, and cash flow management.

Familiarity with financial process automation and modern accounting tools.
