About the role

We are seeking to recruit a young professional to support the Investment Specialist team for our Private Markets platform. The role is based in Paris for a period of 6 months.

The Investment Specialist function is an important link between the private market’s investment teams, Distribution, as well as other AllianzGI functions, and clients.

The new joiner will be part of the Private Markets platform which manages over EUR 100 billion in assets for both third party investors globally and its parent company, Allianz, joining over 350 investment professionals.

The platform offers a broad range of strategies to investors, including infrastructure debt and equity, private equity, private placement debt (investment grade and non-investment grade), mid-market private credit, global multi-manager private debt, as well as Trade Finance and Blended Finance.

The Private Markets Investment teams are global with locations in London, Paris, New York, Munich and Singapore.

The Private Markets Investment Specialist team members are based in London, Frankfurt, Paris and Munich.

What you will do

Assist with the fundraising, investor relations and product development of AllianzGI’s private markets products

Work within the Private Markets investment specialists’ team to support the senior investment specialists in producing and updating market leading marketing and educational material for investors and prospects

Support fundraising activities by ensuring high quality standards in investors’ queries and manage deliverables in a prompt and timely fashion

Support the team in organizing marketing events, as well as client and consultant meetings

Attend client meetings displaying the highest professionalism

Support the team in portfolio commentaries, platform overview, product presentations and positioning of our capabilities. In addition, support the delivery of the required portfolio and investment strategy-related content to the RFP team and client service entities

Produce market research on competitors’ activities and new market trends

Participate and collaborate in product development initiatives

Participate in various projects and initiatives within the private markets division

Work closely with the respective Portfolio Management and Investment teams

What you bring

Outstanding results in an academic degree in Finance, Business, Economics or similar environment

CFA, CAIA or similar qualification is a plus

Previous relevant professional experience is a plus, especially in Product Specialist, institutional sales, consulting, product management or investment role in private markets, with preference for infrastructure

Proven track record of academic excellence, result-orientation

Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Strong can-do attitude and proactive approach

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and impeccable attention to details

Ability to tailor messages for a diverse range of audiences and to clearly articulate technical content in a digestible format

Strong analytical skills

Proficient use of MS office, especially power point and excel

High intellectual and cultural curiosity

Proficiency in English, additional language skills are a plus
