Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
The QA Tester is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications through systematic testing and validation processes. The role supports the software development lifecycle by identifying defects, verifying functionality against requirements, and ensuring releases meet defined quality standards before deployment.
JOB DUTIES:
Test Planning & Design
Review business and functional requirements to define test strategies and test cases.
Develop comprehensive test plans covering functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing
Supports the delivery and ongoing improvement of ICR products, with particular focus on TOPS, STT tools, and related internal or client-facing workflows.
Test Execution
Execute manual and/or automated test cases across multiple environments
Validate system functionality, performance, and usability against expected outcomes
Defect Management
Identify, document, and track defects using standard bug tracking tools
Work closely with developers to reproduce issues and validate fixes
Environment & Data Preparation
Prepare test environments and ensure availability of relevant test data
Support deployment validation in UAT and production environments
Reporting & Documentation
Provide clear test reports, defect summaries, and quality metrics
Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects
Collaboration
Work with developers, business analysts, and ICR stakeholders to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria
Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives (Agile environments)
Supports preparation of product proposals, business cases, release materials, process documentation, and stakeholder updates.
Builds strong working relationships across teams and contributes to a structured, user-focused product management approach within ICR.
CREDENTIALS:
Education: Degree in business, technology, IT, computer science or related discipline..
Experience and Track Record: 3 + years’ experience in QA testing for applications. Prior experience with automated speech to text platform and media (audio and video) is preferred.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams and present information clearly to stakeholders.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess issues, interpret feedback and data, and support practical product and process decisions.
Adaptability: Able to work in fast-paced, iterative environments to reduce defect leakage into production and improve test coverage and regression efficiency.
Programming Skills: Should possess practical programming skills to support test automation, data validation, and integration testing activities. Preferred language would be C# and Phyton
Tools and Systems: Proficiency in test automation tools and project tracking systems (eg. Jira) is preferred. Exposure to platforms such as TOPS, STT tools, or similar operational technologies is advantageous.
Work Ethic: Organised, proactive, and reliable, with the ability to manage competing priorities, follow through on actions, and work effectively in a dynamic environment with changing business needs.
