About the role

Our Information Management team within Macquarie’s Financial Management and People Enablement Group supports the effective management of information risk, data protection, and information governance across the organisation. Working closely with business and technology teams, we help strengthen information management practices, improve risk controls, and ensure information is managed securely throughout its lifecycle.

We are a global financial services group operating in 30 markets with 57 years of unbroken profitability. At Macquarie, you’re empowered to shape a career that is fulfilling and creates value. You will bring your insights and expertise to the task at hand and feel supported as you make your own kind of impact for a better future.

What role will you play?

As a Data and Technology Risk Coordinator, you will support the assessment and enhancement of information protection and information management practices across the organisation. You will partner with stakeholders to review controls relating to data storage, transfer, retention, and disposal, while analysing information from multiple sources to identify risks, trends, and opportunities for improvement. You will also contribute to the design of reporting and data solutions, support governance and risk initiatives, and help embed enterprise-wide frameworks, standards, and controls that align with business objectives.

What you offer

1-3 years experience in risk management and technology, with an understanding of privacy, data protection, information handling, and disposal practices

Knowledge of technology environments, including application development lifecycles, system architecture, and infrastructure concepts, with the ability to support risk assessments across end-to-end processes

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret information, identify risks, and provide practical recommendations

Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to a broad range of audiences

A proactive and adaptable approach, with strong organisational skills, effective prioritisation, and a commitment to continuous learning; experience in financial services or another highly regulated industry is advantageous but not essential.

We love hearing from anyone inspired to build a better future with us, if you're excited about the role or working at Macquarie we encourage you to apply.
