Discover the Role
The Executive Accountant assists the senior staff within the team in day-to-day operations to ensure the accuracy of the information and on-time deliveries to the client. The executive is more independent than their junior counterparts and can work autonomously or within a team.
Key Responsibilities
Data entry of sales invoices, purchase invoices, purchase/sales orders, credit/debit memos, employees expense reimbursements, bank account transactions and journal entries in XERO or any other accounting software used by the client
Preparation of payment vouchers for accounts payable and payroll related payments and maintaining cash position
Assist the Seniors to perform daily work with high complexity, including closing full set of books, capital accounts, annual financial statements, profits tax returns with tax computations and other tailor made management reports/ financial analysis;
Prepare monthly Instalment Activity Statements (“IAS”) and review monthly or quarterly Business Activity Statements (“BAS”)
Prepare or Assist senior staff in the preparation of annual FBT and Income Tax (IT) files for the clients
Reconcile Balance Sheet and P&L accounts
Prepare and Assist in updating cash position and preparation of client’s bank reconciliations
Prepare month-end depreciation and amortization, prepayment, accruals and payroll entries
Assist in the preparation of the monthly reporting package / management accounts for the client
Support on scanning and storing documents in clients folders
Keep accurate records by coding correctly timesheets in D365
Ad hoc tasks as and when required
Key Requirements
Intermediate or above
Minimum 2 years experience in a relevant professional firm or multinational corporation
Fluent in written and spoken English
Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
Able to be a team player
Knowledge
Able to follow defined processes
Understand personal development areas and is driven to “bridge” gaps
Ask relevant questions to improve business awareness/knowledge
Able to work independently or under direct supervision
