Experience with ArduPilot / PX4 / MAVlink / Pixhawk are all advantageous (but not a pre-requisite)
This engineering role is perfect for someone with a good background of communications integration / debugging / fault-finding / testing.
The position is primarily desk based with some involvement in testing and deployment activities The right engineer is someone who thrives on the complexity of making UAV systems work — not on the aircraft, but on everything that talks to it.
Some of the day-to-day tasks you'll be getting involved with:
-Develop, configure, and maintain ground control systems for UAV platforms, including mission planning, telemetry
-Support integration of UAV subsystems ensure reliable data exchange with the ground station
-Debugging communication issues between UAV and ground station
-Testing how flight software behaves during missions/fail-safes
-Checking sensor data is correctly transmitted
-Writing scripts/tools for telemetry, logging, or automation...

Compensation
