Junior Design EngineerOverview

We are recruiting on behalf of a growing engineering and manufacturing business for a Junior Design Engineer to join their team. The role involves supporting the design and development of heavy:duty equipment and machinery attachments, producing 3D models and engineering drawings, and working closely with production teams. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands:on design experience and develop your engineering career within a supportive environment.

TheJunior Design Engineer Role Will Involve

: Producing and updating 3D CAD models and detailed manufacturing drawings

: Assisting with the development of new engineered products and equipment solutions

: Tailoring existing designs to suit specific customer and project requirements

: Preparing technical information, parts lists, and design documentation

: Collaborating with manufacturing and commercial teams throughout the project lifecycle

: Supporting product enhancement initiatives and engineering change requests

: Reviewing designs to ensure they are practical, cost:effective, and suitable for production

TheJunior Design Engineer will need to have the following attributes:

: A degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent qualification in an engineering:related discipline

: Experience using 3D CAD software, ideally SolidWorks

: Good problem:solving and analytical skills

: Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team

: A willingness to learn and develop within a manufacturing environment

: Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications

Desirable Skills And Experience

: Exposure to the design of fabricated steel products or structural components

: Knowledge of heavy equipment, machinery attachments, or related industrial sectors

: An understanding of common manufacturing techniques, including fabrication, welding, machining, and metal forming
