Area Supervisor

Responsibilities

Provide strong leadership and supervision to store managers and staff across multiple locations, ensuring consistent execution of company policies and standards

Oversee daily store operations including sales management, inventory control, merchandising, and cash handling to maximize profitability

Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing, onboarding, employee orientation, and training & development initiatives

Monitor sales performance metrics, manage budgets, and implement strategies for achieving sales targets and operational excellence

Facilitate effective communication between stores and corporate headquarters, ensuring alignment on marketing campaigns, pricing strategies, and promotional activities

Conduct regular store visits to evaluate customer service quality, cleanliness, safety standards, and adherence to policies

Manage payroll processing, bookkeeping tasks, and administrative responsibilities to ensure accurate recordkeeping and compliance

Requirements

Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles with a strong background in team management and leadership

Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate staff and build positive relationships with customers

Demonstrated proficiency in inventory management, POS systems, cash handling, merchandising, and retail math

Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

Bilingual or multilingual skills are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively

Experience with recruiting, interviewing, training & development, budgeting, and employee orientation is essential

Strong organizational skills combined with time management abilities to prioritize responsibilities effectively

Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience in grocery stores or retail environments is preferred
