About the role

Description

Come build scalable, authentic learning experiences that will shape the next generation of engineers and project managers across Amazon Robotics (AR). We are looking for a Learning Experience Designer (continuous learning & development) to join the Learning Experience and Technology (LExT) team.

The Learning Experience Designer will be responsible for designing and developing engaging and immersive learning experiences that meet the needs of our clients and learners. The successful candidate will have a passion for learning design, a creative mindset, and a deep understanding of adult learning principles. He or she will have a minimum of 5 years experience in instructional design or a related field, with a strong track record of creating impactful learning experiences.

Key job responsibilities

Collaborate with subject matter experts and project stakeholders to identify learning objectives and performance goals.

Conduct needs analysis and learning assessments to identify performance gaps and recommend learning solutions.

Design and develop learning solutions, including technical documentation, job-aids, reference materials, e-learning courses, instructor-led training materials, videos, simulations, and other interactive content.

Design and develop skills-based learning programs that align with the organization's goals and objectives.

Apply instructional design principles to create engaging and interactive learning experiences.

Evaluate the effectiveness solutions through assessments, feedback, and metrics, and make necessary adjustments for continuous improvement.

Ensure learning solutions are aligned with the overall learning strategy and business objectives.

Develop and manage project timelines to ensure timely and successful delivery of learning solutions.

Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and effectiveness of learning materials.

Conduct thorough research on industry trends and best practices in learning experience design to ensure the development of impactful learning programs.

Provide guidance and support to other LXDs on instructional design methodologies, learning experience best practices, and emerging trends in the field.

About The Team

Amazon Robotics - Learning Experience and Technology (AR-LExT) team serves Amazon Robotics, RME, and Operations organizations by creating product and safety focused learning experiences that positively impact organizational performance. Through a data-driven approach, we strive relentlessly to prioritize safety and to promote continuous learning, personal development, diversity, inclusion, and high levels of employee engagement.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or Organizational Development

Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)

Experience with adult learning instructional design methods and best practices

Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

Experience in project and program management and delivering key business outcomes

Experience working proactively and independently, meeting deadlines, and delivering on projects and tasks

Experience with Graphics/Photo imaging/Video software (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, Visio, etc.), Articulate 360, Microsoft SharePoint etc.

Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality learning solutions.

Knowledge of emerging technologies and their application in learning design is a plus.

1+ years of experience integrating generative AI tools into professional workflows to augment productivity or content quality

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree or equivalent in Education Technology, Instructional Design/Technology, Adult Education, Visual Communications, or equivalent studies

Experience in written and oral communication, including the ability to communicate with all levels in the organization (technical, business, executive)

Experience with Xyleme (LCMS).

Industry certifications in instructional design, curriculum development, performance improvement, project management, and content-specific certifications.

Able to write effective instructional texts and scripts.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
