Your mission as a Team Lead Research

As Team Lead, you will play a key role in building and guiding our Research team (Consultants and Executives) in the French region. You will foster team development through market research expertise and a commitment to exceeding client expectations. Your responsibilities include guiding and supporting our Researchers in their market research projects and helping them grow as researchers and as people. You will also advise and coach key clients through the entire market research process, from methodology selection to results interpretation, acting as a sparring partner and inspiring clients with customer-centric, agile research, and innovative methodologies.

Additionally, you will collaborate closely with the international Research Leadership Team (e.g., Germany, Spain, Americas) on strategic projects that drive organizational and research excellence. You can expect to spend around 60% of your time on management and strategy and 40% on hands-on work with key clients and their projects.

What you'll be doing

Leadership and Team Development:

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of smart and caring Researchers

Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation within the team

Provide regular feedback and support to help team members achieve their professional goals

Strategic Development:

Collaborate with Research Leads from other countries & departments to push strategic initiatives across the whole company

Build scalable and effortless processes to facilitate, e.g., project management and cross-team collaboration

Think 10x and bring new ideas and ways of working to the team

Client Engagement:

Act as a sparring partner for a variety of clients in the creation, adaptation, and analysis of market research projects

Conceptualize study designs and bespoke questionnaires across multiple use cases

Interpret market research results to provide actionable recommendations to clients; present results to customers

Project Management:

Ensure seamless cooperation with the Research Operations team in setting up questionnaires and fieldwork on the Appinio platform

Collaborate closely with the Account Management team to implement initial projects for new customers

You will thrive in this role if

You have 6+ years of experience in market research and consulting B2B clients, with strong knowledge of quantitative methods and statistics

You have experience designing studies, writing questionnaires, and working across various research methods and use cases

You bring a strategic and commercially minded approach, translating insights into business impact for clients

You have 3+ years of leadership experience with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams, particularly in significant turnaround or fast scale-up environments

You communicate confidently, clearly, and transparently in both French and English, facilitating seamless interactions across diverse teams and stakeholders

You possess a hands-on mentality, pragmatism, proactivity, and an affinity for numbers and data

You are comfortable rolling up your sleeves to set up scalable frameworks and processes

You have a cooperative and caring attitude
