At Blue Origin, we envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight!

This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.

As part of a hardworking team of specialists and accomplished experts in Program Planning & Controls (PP&C), you will develop and maintain program plans for various spaceflight systems. Partnered with Blue’s Program Managers and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), there are multiple facets to your support of our spaceflight systems. We are seeking a proactive, service-oriented individual with excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills that can thrive in a fast-paced environment.

You will be responsible for leading and overseeing the creation and maintenance the Integrated Master Schedule, as well as the integration of subordinate schedules to develop a comprehensive data set. Coordinating with technical leadership across Blue you will drive the resource loading of our program plans, and analyzer and optimize the schedule to achieve required milestones. Effective baseline change control will be crucial to tracking performance and conducting effective critical path and variance analysis of Blue’s dynamic programs.

On a regular basis you will lead status reviews of the schedule, gathering inputs from multiple stakeholder and data sources to facilitate progress inputs, forecast updates, and schedule metrics that you will communicate to program leadership. Performing “what-if” scenario planning and schedule risks assessments will be regular activities in order to communicate issues to program leadership and to provide mitigation recommendations.

You will also support the maturing of the PP&C organization by analyzing scheduling procedures and introducing improvements and revised procedures, mentoring, and developing other program planners to achieve our high scheduling standards. You will also be instrumental in driving organizational and cultural utilization of PP&C scheduling artifacts through all levels of the program team. Partnered closely with the Program Cost Analysts, you will also maintain integrated cost and schedule plans that will facilitate program budgeting and cost analysis.

Reporting to the PP&C leader of New Glenn business units, this role will be integral in leading and supporting the development of robust programs plans. You will work to increase the speed and efficiency of the programs by supporting the timely delivery, quality and transparency of program performance data and schedules to support the company’s business decisions.
