The Business Planning section oversees Rakuten Mobile's overall P&L performance primarily through the management of budget, actual, and forecast. Our mission is to strategically balance profitability and investment to ensure sustained, rapid growth.

Position Details

As a member of the Business Planning team for Rakuten Mobile, you will:

- Establish, implement, and enhance budget, actuals, and forecast management. - Provide deep insights into business performance and conditions through management reports, supporting critical management decisions. - Serve as a financial business partner for various business units. - Lead ad-hoc projects within Rakuten Mobile and across the Rakuten Group (e.g. business transfer, productivity improvement, establish operation flow and governance ). - Offer support and consultation to both domestic and international subsidiaries.

Organization - Total 7 headcounts in Business Planning Section - Age from 20s to 50s - 1 New Graduate, 6 mid-career

Professional Backgrounds of Our Team Members Our team consists of professionals with diverse career paths, including: - Rakuten Group internal transfer from Advertising and Logistics Business - Mobile Network Operator - Consulting Firm

Mandatory Qualifications:

- 10+ years of experience in highly quantitative financial roles, demonstrating a clear progression of growth. - Thorough understanding of, and extensive experience with, accounting, financial statement analysis, and financial projection modeling. - Strong project management skills, coupled with a proven track record of successfully managing multiple, complex projects simultaneously. - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex financial data and concepts clearly and effectively. - A highly motivated, proactive individual with the ability to think strategically, drive change across a global organization, and build strong, trusted relationships at multiple levels. - Fluent in Japanese and English (both spoken and written)

We welcome candidates with experience in any of the following areas: - Business planning in the IT or telecommunications sectors - Strategic planning or process improvement at a consulting firm - Financial analysis or investment evaluation in investment banking
