About the role

ABOUT SUNO

We're building the world's first creative entertainment platform, where the entire world can feel the joy and fulfilment of making music. Music is for everyone: Our users include everyone from grandmothers creating songs for their loved ones, to Grammy winners using Suno Studio, our power tool, to make the most popular hits in the world.

Building the future of entertainment requires ambition. The pace is fast, the problems are hard, and the work demands ownership and intensity. For the right people, it’s incredibly rewarding: a chance to shape a new medium, work with a small team that cares deeply about quality, make music, drink too much coffee, and build something that millions of people use to express themselves in ways that were never before possible.

Suno is the fastest growing consumer entertainment company and the leader in AI music. We are backed by leading investors including Bond Capital, Menlo Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, IVP, Forerunner, Union Square Ventures, Alkeon, Quiet, Matrix Partners, Schroders Capital and, NVentures (venture arm of NVIDIA).

ABOUT THE ROLE

Suno is hiring an Engineering Manager, Trust & Safety, to lead the team responsible for protecting our platform and users from abuse, fraud, and harmful content. You'll build and grow a high-performing engineering team while staying close to the technical work — designing detection systems, shaping evaluation models and data pipelines, and driving the strategy that keeps Suno a safe and trustworthy place for our community of over 100 million creators.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Manage, develop, and grow a team of Trust & Safety engineers — including hiring, performance management, career development, and fostering team culture

- Own the technical direction for bot detection, content moderation, anomaly detection, and fraud prevention systems

- Drive the design and evolution of data pipelines that power detection and enforcement at scale

- Oversee the development of internal tools and dashboards for Trust & Safety operations and investigations

- Partner with product, engineering, legal, and finance leaders to define Suno's Trust & Safety roadmap and coordinate cross-team execution

- Analyze emerging attack vectors and adapt detection strategies to stay ahead of adversarial behavior

- Ensure high code quality, robust testing, and scalable architecture while balancing rapid iteration with long-term maintainability

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

- 4+ years managing an engineering team focused on Trust & Safety, fraud detection, content moderation, or a related domain

- Strong technical foundation in Python and SQL, with the ability to review code, guide architectural decisions, and jump into the codebase when needed

- Experience with data engineering pipelines (Dagster, Airflow, or similar) and analytical databases (Snowflake preferred)

- Understanding of anomaly detection techniques, anti-abuse strategies, bot detection, and content moderation systems

- Experience building and operating real-time systems and event-driven architectures

- Excel at both technical leadership and people management — you can ship complex systems and grow the careers of the engineers who build them

- Thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and can balance multiple priorities while maintaining team focus

- A love of music (listening, exploring, making)

NICE TO HAVE

- Experience at a consumer tech or creator-platform company

- Experience at both larger and smaller, high-growth companies

- Experience scaling a Trust & Safety team from early stage to 10+ engineers
