Collins Aerospace is seeking a professional procurement to join the team. This role will be responsible for managing the procure-to-pay process for Indirect materials in support of operational purchasing needs and Supply Chain goals and objectives
What You Will Do
Identify qualified suppliers for requirements, leveraging existing agreements to the fullest extent;
Manage purchase order placement process from requisition to invoice payment for a assigned commodities within the Indirect team;
Obtain price quotations and negotiate pricing and delivery in support of commodity supplier and cost strategies;
Analyze supplier quotes and makes sourcing recommendations sourcing decisions
Ensure product on-time delivery to schedule
Initiate supplier negotiations on price, lead time and terms & conditions
Complete purchase order documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures
Ensure timely placement of orders to support business needs and meet team defined turn times;
Strong communication skills to interface with requisitioner and other functional groups
Ability to work as a team member independently based on additional projects as assigned to support Supply Chain organization.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 3 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 7 years of relevant experience
Advanced English proficiency with the ability to communicate fluently and professionally in both spoken and written English.
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience using SAP (Procurement functions, Business Warehouse, Business Objects most preferred)
Experienced in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Experience with lean principles and productivity improvements
Knowledge of Indirect commodities in a manufacturing environment
