Job Description

Statkraft is looking for an enthusiastic Murex Subject Matter Expert to strengthen the team responsible for the system portfolio of the trading and risk management department. You will be placed in an environment with highly skilled colleagues and will be expected to take a leading role in the further development of the system portfolio. Murex is chosen as the main trading and risk management system in Statkraft. The system is used at our offices in Oslo, Trondheim, Stockholm, London, Düsseldorf, Stamford, Amsterdam, and São Paulo. As a Murex Subject Matter Expert within the team of ETRM solutions you will:

Provide Murex Support for all relevant business processes in Front-, Middle- and Back Office

Implement new commodity products in Murex

Develop technical solutions based on business requirements

Perform functional configurations in the furthest corners of the Murex system

Re-engineer existing configurations into new, sustainable solutions in Murex

Cooperate closely with the business and the vendor

Qualifications

Proven track record in Murex, gained in roles such as Business Analyst or Developer within financial institutions or the energy trading industry

Strong expertise in Murex, including system functionalities, configuration, and operational processes

Broad understanding of, and genuine interest in, financial, commodity, and energy markets

Passion for system support, configuration, and ongoing development

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with a keen attention to detail

Programming experience is considered an advantage, along with a solid understanding of enterprise systems, including complex system integrations and interfaces, Linux-based environments, and familiarity with Murex application services and processing workflows.

Strong commitment to documentation and a structured, process-oriented way of working.

Solid SQL knowledge, preferably with Oracle databases

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and collaborate effectively across diverse teams, demonstrating resilience and adaptability in challenging and fast-paced environments

Proactive mindset, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing environments. Maintains a positive attitude and shows respect for the diverse and multicultural nature of Statkraft

University degree in Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline

Fluent in English
