MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Responsibility for all local and international tax topics for MU DACH
Support on correct and optimized tax processes and provide respective guidance for process and business model changes
Ensure tax compliance with PepsiCo Global Control Standards
Own process for statutory accounts and coordinate statutory and tax audits
Own relationship with external tax consultants for corporate tax and VAT
Responsibilities:
Ensure correct posting of tax entries for US-GAAP and statutory purposes in SAP/HFM incl. reconciliation of tax accruals
Own tax reporting process (US Tax package, FAS 109, Tax forecast/AOP, ETR, CoC, etc.)
Oversee preparation of other tax related reporting and statistical declarations (e.g. CBCR, IntraStat)
Closely cooperate with Sector Tax and Reporting teams
Ensure tax compliance with different business models
Act as first point of contact for footprint design and reviews on new businesses / processes
Partner with Assistant Controller during Tax audits incl. preparation and presentation of required documents for tax auditor
Ensure Compliance with GCS/COSO/SOX requirements within the function and demonstrate a role model for all functions within the company
Closely collaborate with service providers (IBM, PwC, GT)
Management of the accuracy and timely completeness of tax returns in close cooperation with the tax advisors and the monitoring of related payments
Provide training to the organization to ensure changes in tax legislation and business model requirements are understood and followed
Coordinate documentation of transfer pricing
Statutory
Ensure correct and timely finalization of statutory accounts incl. coordination of statutory audit (KPMG).
Prepare SwissCo and Cork ABAs in collaboration with Assistant Controller
Ensure processes are clearly defined for books delivering sufficient details for tax filings and audits
Independently review accounting entries and provide guidance to ensure correctness for US-GAAP and statutory purposes
Team management
Closely collaborate with Reporting Manager on all closing related processes
Provide coaching to GBS and GFSS stakeholders on accounting requirements
Develop local GL Accountant
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics
Extensive experience (5+ years) in accounting and tax
Very good knowledge in accounting (US GAAP and HGB)
Very good knowledge in VAT
Understanding of operational processes of an industrial company – preferred FMCG
Strong knowledge of SAP and MS Office (esp. Excel)
Strong process-oriented mindset with the ability to optimize existing procedures
Excellent interpersonal communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
Fluent in English and German
Experience in a multinational environment is advantageous.
