About the role

Some careers shine brighter than others.

If you’re looking for a career that will help you stand out, join HSBC and fulfil your potential. Whether you want a career that could take you to the top, or simply take you in an exciting new direction, HSBC offers opportunities, support and rewards that will take you further.

HSBC is one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world, with operations in 64 countries and territories. We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Platform Analyst - Securities Services

In this role, you will:

Own the Business Analysis workstream for Product Solutions change initiatives from initiation through delivery, partnering with PM/Programme Manager, workstream leads, and other BAs.

Lead change management activities end-to-end: early change planning and audience analysis through to communications, training, support, organisation alignment, and intervention delivery.

Track and act on change readiness, adoption, and feedback to improve outcomes and embed change.

Manage implementation planning and execution (implementation management), controlling and reporting deployment activities to accelerate benefits and minimise risk.

May also manage a smaller project or a workstream within a larger programme, alongside BA responsibilities.

Elicit and document requirements using multiple techniques (interviews, workshops, document analysis, surveys, site visits, use cases, scenarios, process/task/workflow analysis).

Analyse and validate requirements rigorously: reconcile conflicts, decompose/abstract information, and distinguish stated wants from underlying needs; challenge assumptions constructively.

Act as the key conduit between customers (internal/external) and delivery/implementation teams, translating business needs into operational/functional requirements and producing required artefacts.

Support governance, architecture and risk activities: prepare PMO governance documents, promote standards/best practice documentation, assess process effectiveness and gaps, identify/mitigate risks, and contribute to enterprise risk assessments.

Demonstrate strong leadership behaviours: clear communication and presentation, data storytelling, stakeholder relationship-building, teamwork, prioritisation and time management, strategic/analytical problem-solving under pressure, negotiation/influencing, decisive ownership, adaptability across time zones, and continuous improvement via standardisation and best practices.

To be successful, you will:

Proven experience in Business Analysis (or equivalent) delivering large-scale operational change.

Strong analytical capability and strategic insight to understand complex challenges and shape practical solutions.

Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate, and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels across geographically dispersed teams.

Competence in operating model design, data analysis, user documentation, solution design/validation, and root-cause analysis.

Proficiency in impact/gap assessments, requirements gathering, process mapping, and process design.

Excellent written and verbal communication, able to work effectively with both business and IT stakeholders.

Strong delivery focus across project phases, with the flexibility to adapt approach to different project challenges and transformation types.

Sufficient technical understanding to credibly engage delivery teams and assess complex risks/issues objectively.

Hands-on experience with BA/PM tools and enterprise requirements methods (e.g., Visio, MS Project/Planner, JIRA, Confluence, and requirements management systems).

Comfortable leading workshops and driving consensus; commercially aware; structured thinker who handles ambiguity, conflicting priorities, and multitasking - PPM/PRINCE2 and Agile (Scrum/Kanban) knowledge desirable, plus strong MS Office skills.
