About the role
At DNV Maritime, we help our customers navigate the most complex challenges in shipping - safety, performance, sustainability, and digital transformation.
Area Benelux & France is part of the Maritime Region West Europe, covering classification and advisory activities across all vessel segments, offshore units, and emerging areas such as renewables and aquaculture. With ~70 colleagues across seven locations, we work closely with leading shipowners, operators, and maritime stakeholders across the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Monaco, and Switzerland.
We are looking for a Key Account Manager (KAM) to strengthen our presence in South-East France.
In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to some of the region’s most important maritime customers. You will go beyond traditional sales - building long-term relationships, anticipating customer needs, and bringing the full strength of DNV’s global expertise to create value.
You will work closely with customers across technical, operational, and executive levels, shaping opportunities across our full portfolio - including classification, newbuildings, advisory, decarbonization, and digital solutions.
The position is based in the Marseille area, with a strong emphasis on face-to-face engagement and market presence.

Main responsibilities
Build and develop strong, trust-based relationships with decision-makers across key accounts
Act as the single point of coordination for all DNV activities toward assigned customers
Develop and execute customer-centric account plans to drive growth, retention, and satisfaction
Identify and pursue opportunities across newbuildings, fleet in service, advisory, and digital solutions
Lead and coordinate complex commercial topics, including contracts, renewals, negotiations, and claims resolution
Work closely with internal stakeholders (e.g. TSM, technical experts, finance) to ensure high-quality delivery and follow-up
Represent DNV externally by actively participating in industry events, networks, and customer forums
Monitor account performance and pipeline, ensuring structured follow-up of opportunities
Ensure high-quality CRM data and account insight, enabling informed decision-making
Stay close to market trends, industry developments, and customer strategies

Experience & competencies
University degree (Bachelor or Master) in a relevant field
Significant experience within the maritime industry
Onboard Sailing experience as an officer or significant experience in shipyard production shall be considered as an asset to the role
Strong commercial mindset combined with a customer-centric approach
Proven ability to build relationships at senior and executive levels
Solid understanding of industry trends such as decarbonization and digitalization
Fluent in French and English
