You Are

You are an experienced software engineer with strong C++ skills and a solid foundation in 3D geometry, meshing, or related engineering workflows. You build reliable, maintainable software for real-world use, enjoy solving technical problems, and work well across disciplines to improve product quality and user experience. In this role, you will work on the 3D editor in Ansys Electronics Desktop, helping improve geometry and meshing workflows for electromagnetic simulation.

What You'll Be Doing

Develop 3D geometry algorithms that support modeling, validation, and meshing for electromagnetic simulation\

Contribute to AI/ML-driven capabilities for geometry validation, error detection, and workflow automation

Build high-performance C++ software and Python-based automation tools

Partner with simulation engineers, product managers, QA, and developers to solve user workflow challenges

Own defined features from development through testing and deliver

Improve the quality, reliability, and usability of core geometry and meshing capabilities

Reduce debugging time by creating clearer, more effective user workflows

Support thoughtful use of AI/ML in CAD and simulation environments

Deliver maintainable, high-quality software that strengthens the product experience

What You'll Need

BSEE, BSCS, or related field with 5+ years of experience, or a Master’s with 3+ years, or a PhD with relevant experience

Strong C++ skills in performance-sensitive software development

Solid understanding of 3D geometry modeling, algorithms, and data structures

Experience with Python for scripting and automation

Working knowledge of meshing concepts and geometry issues that affect simulation success

Exposure to AI/ML in geometry, CAD, or related workflows is a plus

Experience in commercial software development is a plus
