About the role
The Role: Subsea Engineer - Client Representative - Onsite Supervision & QA/QC
As part of the Peak Ocean PMT, you will act strictly in the client's interest, reporting to the Senior/Lead Subsea Engineer. Your mission is to provide day-to-day field oversight of the shipyard's subsea equipment installation and testing work - BOP stacks, LMRP, subsea control systems, and riser equipment, ensuring it is executed safely, to specification, and on schedule.
Conduct day-to-day subsea equipment inspection, function testing, and progress tracking.
Monitor BOP/LMRP pressure test logs and subsea control system calibration records.
Witness subsea equipment FAT, verify the closeout of punch lists, and ensure all site modifications match approved "as-built" subsea drawings.
Report daily progress and any technical concerns to the Senior/Lead Subsea Engineer.
Enforce contractor adherence to subsea equipment specifications and API 16A/16D/17D standards laid out in the project contract.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Subsea Engineering (or equivalent).
Working knowledge of subsea BOP stacks, LMRP, multiplex control systems, and riser systems.
Familiarity with API 16A/16D/17D standards is an advantage.
Minimum 4–7 years of experience in offshore/marine construction or fabrication.
PMT / Client Representative experience preferred but not essential.
Excellent command of Communication with the assertiveness to hold contractors accountable on behalf of the client.
