About the role
Vestas have released an exciting new position for an experienced and enthusiastic Service Sales & Account Manager to join our industry leading and highly successful team in Melbourne.
Our Service Sales department grow the Vestas Service business across Australia and New Zealand by providing solutions to meet the operations and maintenance needs that owners and operators of renewable wind energy assets express in dialogue and negotiation with us.
As Service Sales Manager you will get to work with challenging and high value projects that proactively support the other parts of the commercial business and Customer. You will be central in sales related activities with Service operations and other Vestas departments working with a high degree of autonomy and responsibility. Our clients must be met face to face so region wide (ANZ) travel is essential with clear proposals and creative ideation. As solution proponents we engage and educate through verbal and written business dealings so you will have the opportunity to present to senior managers and occasionally C-level executives.
Responsibilities
Vestas Service Sales Managers deliver customer satisfaction and thereby meet or exceed financial sales targets for their assigned ASP sub-region.
As Service Sales Manager your role will create financially sound, long-term sustainable, commercial growth across existing & new accounts in line with Vestas regional & global strategies.
Vestas Service Sales Managers work in a collaborative, knowledgeable team. They provide prospective and existing customers with excellent solutions to their business needs through sales of the right mix of service and innovative products.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Engineering or an advanced business-oriented degree will be highly regarded but not essential
Competencies
At least 5 years of experience in a customer facing B2B environment
Strong customer & service mindset
Ability to perform high-level business analysis to identify key value levers
Demonstrable commercial acumen and financial literacy (key concepts)
Diligence and attention to detail
Team-player attitude
Ability to discuss general technical issues and concepts (mechanical, electrical, software control systems, etc)
Professional commercial experience in sales project coordination in a technical industry
Full professional working proficiency in English, both oral & written
Prior experience in working with SAP-ERP and Salesforce a strong advantage
