The Role

The purpose of this role is to collaborate with Covalent Lithium stakeholders to recommend innovative and efficient IT solutions that are fit for their departments purpose.

You will oversee and coordinate Technology projects from ideation to handover to operations, whilst delivering a high quality of customer service to Covalent Lithium staff and contractors.

This is a two-year full-time fixed-term contract based at our Perth office, with regular travel to our Mt Holland site, typically every one to two weeks, for short-duration visits as required by project needs

Key Responsibilities

Define project scope and objectives in collaboration with business stakeholders and communicate the technical feasibility and project vision to support successful project delivery

Deliver assigned Technology projects from initiation through planning, execution, implementation and handover to operational support

Use Waterfall methodology to deliver infrastructure projects.

Use Agile or Waterfall methodologies to deliver software implementation projects

Support business stakeholders with preparation of business cases for Technology projects.

Develop project plans, project status reports and other project artefacts as required.

Manage scope, variations, and cost in line with the targeted budget, ensuring solutions are provided that are innovative and cost effective.

Manage stakeholders across multiple sites including Mt Holland Mine, Kwinana Refinery and Perth Office to ensure efficient delivery of Technology solutions.

Identify, capture and manage project risks, issues, constraints, dependencies.

Develop project schedules and identify resourcing requirements.

Role requirements

Tertiary qualification in related field (or equivalent industry experience)

Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2 Certification or equivalent

Agile Foundations

Minimum Five (5) years’ experience managing Technology Projects

Experience with and understanding of the Mining Industry

Strong experience with of Agile and Waterfall methodologies

Proficient in Microsoft packages such as Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
