Responsibilities

Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to support clients with autism and other developmental disabilities

Collect, record, and analyze data on client behaviors to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments

Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, feeding, toileting, and other self-care tasks

Support teaching strategies aimed at developing communication, social skills, and functional independence

Collaborate with supervisors and team members to develop care plans that meet each client’s unique needs

Maintain confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations and safeguarding medical records and documentation

Document all interactions accurately in medical records, including progress notes, behavior logs, and treatment updates

Skills

Strong understanding of behavioral therapy techniques and principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA)

Experience working with children or individuals with autism or developmental disabilities

Ability to assist with ADLs and implement behavior management strategies effectively

Knowledge of medical terminology, documentation standards, and HIPAA compliance

Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members, clients, and families

Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude when working in behavioral health settings

Ability to follow detailed care plans and adapt interventions as needed for individual progress
