Lead a team of Landside Specialists and Senior Specialists to deliver efficient, reliable, and cost-effective execution across the transport lifecycle.
Drive team performance, ensure operational excellence, and support continuous improvement and transformation initiatives while developing team capability and ensuring high engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & People Management
Lead, coach, and develop a team of Specialists and Senior Specialists to deliver against operational and performance targets
Drive a high-performance culture focused on accountability, ownership, and engagement
Manage workload allocation, capacity planning, and team productivity
Support onboarding, capability building, and skill development within the team
Operational Delivery & Execution Oversight
Oversee end-to-end landside execution across planning, booking, execution, and order closure (SAP TMS)
Ensure adherence to service levels, process standards, and operational controls
Monitor execution health, manage escalations, and ensure timely resolution of issues
Ensure high data accuracy, system compliance, and billing readiness
Performance Management & Governance
Drive performance tracking across operational and financial KPIs (service delivery, cost, productivity)
Ensure reporting accuracy, visibility, and governance across the portfolio
Analyse trends, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions
Ensure adherence to governance frameworks, SOPs, and control mechanisms
Stakeholder Management
Act as key point of contact for regional/front office stakeholders and cross-functional teams
Build strong collaboration with Finance, Procurement, Customer Experience, and Area teams
Ensure vendor performance, compliance, and service delivery expectations are met
Manage escalations and drive stakeholder alignment on priorities
Continuous Improvement & Transformation
Drive process improvements, standardisation, and productivity initiatives within the team
Support and lead transformation, offshoring, and system adoption initiatives
Identify automation and digitisation opportunities to improve efficiency
Embed a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
Accountabilities
Delivery of team-level service performance in line with SLAs and operational targets
Productivity, utilisation, and cost performance of the team
Data accuracy, system compliance, and process adherence
Stakeholder satisfaction and effective escalation management
Successful execution of improvement and transformation initiatives
Team engagement, capability development, and retention
System and Process Knowledge
Strong understanding of Landside execution workflows and SAP Transportation Management System (TMS) processes across planning, execution, and order closure
Ability to ensure data integrity, identify gaps, and resolve system/process issues impacting execution
Proficient in analysing operational data, reporting insights, and supporting performance management
Good knowledge of process standards, SOPs, and governance frameworks enabling consistent and compliant operations
Role Requirements
Graduates / Post Graduate
5–8 years of experience in landside logistics, transport operations, or supply chain
Prior experience managing teams or leading operational pods
Relevant experience in landside logistics/transport operations with strong execution, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work in a dynamic, high-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and deliver within defined timelines
Flexible to work across shifts and adhere to organisational work policies, including in-office requirements.
Preferred skills
Exposure to transformation
Experience with Power BI, automation tools, or reporting platforms
Lean / Six Sigma or process improvement certifications
