ExxonMobil’s affiliates in India supporting the Product Solutions business engage in the marketing, sales and distribution of performance as well as specialty products across chemicals and lubricants businesses. The India planning teams are also embedded with global business units for business planning and analytics.
ExxonMobil’s LNG affiliate in India supporting the upstream business provides consultant services for other ExxonMobil upstream affiliates and conducts LNG market-development activities.
The Global Business Center - Technology Center provides a range of technical and business support services for ExxonMobil’s operations around the globe.

Job will be based at Bangalore, Whitefield office ( WFO) for 5 days in a week.
What role you will play in team
Identify and develop capable & reliable emerging market supplier. Facilitate EM technical specialists in the qualification exercise/initiative. Communicate to Business Line to consider inviting emerging market suppliers to bid. Generate business value by utilizing these suppliers to maximize market competition for the Business Line.
What you will do
Identify potential capable and reliable suppliers by projects experience, internal and external networks and market research across Asia Pacific market
Conduct supplier pre-screening through sending questionnaires, follow with potential site visit(s) to verify supplier’s engineering, fabrication capability, experience and quality management system in meeting international standards and EM’s requirements.
Regional market expert, research & synthesize long term market trends, alert Category Manager for trends in their area.
Understand emerging market development & utilize market intelligence to support sourcing strategies
Early engagement with internal business partners including regional project, maintenance, & sites to support planning, commercial strategy development & GS requirements
Evaluate and recommend suppliers for Business Line consideration
Provide supplier intelligence on new leaders in technology (driving innovation for our business)
Coordinate research of new suppliers in their region with Global Supplier List Analyst/Lead
Identify the correct supplier, contact information & initiate conversations in order to validate supplier capabilities
Evaluate and recommend top-tier suppliers through pre-screening for Business Line’s consideration and technical specialists for technical qualification.
Facilitate supplier’s technical qualification by providing logistic supports, scheduling and collecting data and information required by technical specialists prior the qualification trip. Jointly participate in technical review and provide post qualification follow-up to ensure gaps closure if any/necessary.
Market & promote Global Sourcing Service offerings.
Maintain Supplier relationship to ensured preferred treatment (top relationships owned by CMs)
Leverage relationship with suppliers during post order phase; Manage escalations
Support & operationalize category strategies Monitor key supplier performance and support SPM team to get it captured
About you
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in project procurement or supplier identification/development
bachelor’s degree in Engineering mechanical/electrical/chemical/industrial/production (or similar) (MBA/Master in Engr - added advantage)
Knowledge of EPC processes and Engineering & fabrication equipments
Good experience in engineered equipments
Strong Knowledge of supplier base across Asia Pacific focused on Oil & Gas sector commodities
Good analytical and presentation skills
Project management skills; able to effectively work with cross-functional teams
Good communication at multiple levels of the organization
Ability to drive market opportunities through a willingness to pursue new and creative approach to overcome barriers
Good understanding of emerging markets
Supplier management process
Hands-on experience of supplier development
May require domestic and international travels
