About the role
We Are
Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow.
You Are
You have spent enough time around engineers to know that the best simulation tool in the world does nothing if the customer does not understand why it matters to their timeline, their budget, or their product launch. You do not just pitch features. You connect the dots between what optiSLang or SimAI can do and what keeps a VP of Engineering up at night, whether that is reducing physical prototypes, accelerating time to market, or making better material choices under uncertainty.
Walking into a room where you are not the smartest technical person does not faze you. You ask the kinds of questions that uncover real problems, not just surface-level pain points. When a customer says, "we are looking at alternatives," you do not panic. You dig in, understand the comparison, and build a case grounded in their workflow, not ours.
Operating in the gray space between a direct account team working a renewal and a new logo that needs education is where you thrive. You know when to lead and when to support, and you are good at both. At Synopsys, you will own a quota, but your success will also show up in deals you helped shape across the region.
What You'll Be Doing
Drive revenue for Ansys AI, Automation, Optimization, and Materials solutions including optiSLang, Granta MI, SimAI, and QuantumATK across your assigned territory
Partner with field sales teams and enterprise account executives to build account strategies that identify where these products solve real engineering problems
Qualify and develop opportunities from early discovery through close, working across new and existing accounts
Deliver tailored presentations and demos that translate complex simulation and materials intelligence capabilities into clear business outcomes for technical and executive buyers
Coordinate with application engineers to support proof of concepts, evaluations, and technical validation during the sales cycle
Build and maintain relationships with engineering leaders, R&D directors, and procurement stakeholders who influence software buying decisions
Represent Synopsys at industry events, conferences, and customer sites to build pipeline and strengthen market presence
The Impact You Will Have
You will directly contribute to revenue growth in a high-value product portfolio that is core to how customers design, test, and optimize their products
Your ability to articulate business value will shorten sales cycles and help customers make faster, more confident buying decisions
The pipeline you build and the opportunities you qualify will create momentum for the broader sales organization across your region
Your feedback from the field will shape how product management and marketing position these solutions in the market
The relationships you establish with engineering and executive stakeholders will open doors for future expansion and renewals
You will enable account teams to sell more effectively by bringing deep product expertise and consultative selling skills to complex deals
What You'll Need
Bachelor's degree in engineering, technical field, business, or related discipline with 4+ years of sales or consulting experience in engineering or technology solutions, or 6+ years of relevant experience with a proven track record
Demonstrated success selling complex engineering or simulation-based solutions where the buyer needed to understand technical value, not just features
Strong understanding of engineering analysis, simulation, or digital engineering workflows and how they fit into product development cycles
Solid grasp of sales fundamentals and consultative selling techniques, including discovery, qualification, and value-based positioning
Fluency in English and the local language of the assigned territory
Willingness to travel up to 50% to meet with customers, attend events, and support field sales teams
Experience with AI-driven simulation, materials intelligence, or optimization tools is a plus
Who You Are
You can explain a complex tradeoff to a VP in two sentences without losing the nuance, and you know when to go deeper and when to stop talking
You operate comfortably in overlay sales models where your success depends on collaboration, not control, and you are skilled at influencing without authority
When a deal stalls, you do not wait for someone else to figure it out. You pick up the phone, ask the hard questions, and find out what is actually blocking progress
You are organized enough to manage multiple opportunities across different accounts and stages without dropping threads or missing follow-ups
You push back when a proposal does not reflect the customer's real problem or when a demo is too generic to land
You build relationships that outlast individual deals because customers trust you to tell them what they need, not just what you are selling
Rewards and Benefits
We offer a comprehensive range of health, wellness, and financial benefits to cater to your needs. Our total rewards include both monetary and non-monetary offerings. Your recruiter will provide more details about the salary range and benefits during the hiring process.
Compensation
