The Role
AspenTech is looking for a Junior Full-Stack Developer to be part of a team designing, and developing both back-end and front-end components to drive our modern applications within our Manufacturing Execution Systems unit. The primary role of the Junior Full-Stack Developer will be to design and develop intuitive, responsive, and high-performance user experiences, considering the server-side computation as well as client-side optimization. The developer will be in collaboration with their agile team and product stakeholders, such as Product Management and UX designers.
Your Impact
Design and develop responsive and interactive web interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks.
Collaborate with UX/UI designers, agile team and product managers to translate design mock-ups into functional software.
Optimize applications and services for maximum speed, and scalability.
Implement clean, reusable, and maintainable code following industry best practices.
Generate and maintain testing infrastructure.
Develop and integrate backend services with front-end components.
Participate in code reviews, debug issues, and ensure best practices implemented across the application.
Ability to learn quickly, research new solutions for the product challenges.
What You'll Need
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or similar field.
2-4yrs of relevant experience is required.
Experience in modern frameworks like VueJS, Angular, or React.JS.
Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Typescript.
Experience with C++, Java, C#.
Experience developing REST/WebSocket API.
Experience with system design and a strong understanding of design patterns a plus.
Experience in GWT, Tomcat, and SOLR is a plus
Experience with gRPC for API integration is a plus.
Knowledge of browser debugging tools and performance optimization.
Understanding of source control systems TFS, GitHub.
Experience with unit testing frameworks and test-driven development Familiarity with Figma is a plus.
