The HVAC Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and coordination of HVAC and utility systems for complex high-tech and industrial facilities. The role supports all project phases, from concept and detailed design through construction and commissioning, ensuring technical excellence, compliance, and successful project delivery. The HVAC Engineer works closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

Design HVAC and utility systems for cleanrooms, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, semiconductor, and advanced technology facilities

Perform engineering calculations including heat load calculations, duct sizing, hydraulic calculations, pressure drop analysis, and equipment sizing and selection

Develop conceptual, basic, and detailed engineering deliverables, including specifications, calculations, layouts, P&IDs, and sequences of operation

Coordinate HVAC design activities with Process, Architecture, Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, and Construction teams

Ensure engineering deliverables are completed in accordance with project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements

Participate in design reviews, interdisciplinary coordination meetings, and technical workshops

Support procurement activities through technical bid evaluations and vendor document reviews

Provide engineering support during construction, commissioning, qualification, and project close-out

Identify technical risks and develop practical, efficient engineering solutions

Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, client specifications, and Exyte engineering procedures

Show your expertise

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline

Minimum 2–5 years of experience in HVAC engineering, preferably within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, semiconductor, life sciences, or other high-tech industries

Experience in the design of HVAC systems, cleanrooms, and utility installations

Understanding of industrial project execution and multidisciplinary engineering environments

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within international project teams

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Customer-focused and solution-oriented mindset

Proficiency in engineering design software and digital engineering tools

Familiarity with BIM and coordination platforms such as Revit, Navisworks, or similar tools

Fluent French and English language skills, both written and spoken
