JOB SUMMARY
The Food & Beverage Administrator is responsible the organization and execution of administrative duties to support the F&B department. Reports to the F&B Director, and works closely with all F&B departmental management.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Provides administrative support to the F&B Director and other F&B managers
Answering the F&B reception phone and responding to a variety of inquiries
Taking reservations for The Observatory & Altitudes Bistro; upselling Grouse Mountain products
Manages TOCK Reservation system for Altitudes Bistro & The Observatory, including creating experiences and responding to guest reviews.
Filing, ordering and inventory of office supplies, coordinating the maintenance of office equipment i.e. Photocopier
Working closely with the catering sales staff, updating weekly banquet contracts and coordinating or conducting site inspections
Take meeting notes
Assisting with HR documentation. Collecting SIR & Food Safe Certifications, ensuring F&B has a compliant list.
Communication of F&B operating hours and updating guest signage accordingly
Completion of payroll for culinary teams
Generating gratuity reports and distribution of gratuities
Daily metric reporting (labour costs, revenue, food costs etc.)
Management of job vacancies for F&B roles
Scheduling interviews for F&B roles
Onboarding and training of all new, returning and existing F&B staff.
Assists with costing of recipes through internal systems as required
Assists in Storeroom with invoicing & inventory as required
Assists in Altitudes Bistro or The Observatory restaurant as required
Other duties as required
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES
Experience in a Human Resources background preferred
Completion of secondary school required
Ability to motivate and develop staff
Exceptionally organized and able to multitask/coordinate multiple function activity
Excellent communication and writing skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
Experience with Ceridian Dayforce preferred
Experience with TOCK preferred
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Flexible work hours; including evening closing shifts, weekends and holidays
WORKING CONDITIONS
Hours of Operation are weather dependent. Due to the nature of the business, this position requires flexibility in terms of your work schedule. A variety of work schedules may include a variety of start times, including shifts on weekends and statutory holidays.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
$19.76 to $23.11/hour
