About the role
The Sr. Manager of Business Intelligence & Integration is responsible for leading the organization’s enterprise reporting, analytics, data visualization, integration, and decision-support strategy. This role will partner closely with executive leadership, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, IT, and business process owners to transform data into actionable insights that improve business performance, operational efficiency, customer service, and strategic decision-making.
The Sr. Manager of Business Intelligence & Integration will establish the BI & Integration roadmap, define reporting standards, improve data governance, and lead the development of dashboards, KPIs, analytics models, and self-service reporting capabilities across the organization. This role will be critical in supporting the company’s operational transformation and ensuring business leaders have accurate, timely, and trusted information to manage the business.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategy & Leadership
Develop and execute the enterprise business intelligence and analytics strategy.
Partner with executive leadership to define key business metrics, dashboards, and performance reporting needs.
Establish BI standards, reporting governance, and dashboard design principles.
Lead the transition from manual, spreadsheet-based reporting to automated, scalable reporting solutions.
Promote a data-driven culture across the organization.
Prioritize BI initiatives based on business value, urgency, and organizational impact.
Data Analytics & Reporting
Lead the design, development, and delivery of executive dashboards, operational scorecards, and analytical reports.
Ensure business leaders have visibility into key metrics across operations, finance, sales, inventory, procurement, warehouse performance, customer service, and supply chain.
Translate complex data into clear insights, trends, and recommendations.
Support monthly business reviews, board reporting, operational performance meetings, and strategic planning.
Develop reporting solutions that enable root cause analysis and proactive decision-making.
Data Governance & Data Quality
Partner with IT, Finance, Operations, and business data owners to define data governance standards.
Improve the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of enterprise reporting.
Establish data definitions for core business metrics and KPIs.
Identify and resolve data quality issues across source systems.
Ensure reporting logic is clearly documented and consistently applied.
Support master data governance efforts across customers, vendors, products, locations, pricing, and inventory.
Integration & Data Architecture
Own enterprise integration strategy (e.g., Workato, APIs, event-driven)
Define system-of-record ownership and data flow architecture
Establish data governance frameworks (field-level ownership, quality, master data strategy)
BI Platform Management
Own the roadmap and ongoing development of BI tools and platforms such as Power BI, Domo, Tableau, or similar technologies.
Oversee dashboard architecture, semantic models, datasets, dataflows, and reporting workspaces.
Partner with IT and integration teams to ensure data is properly sourced, modeled, secured, and refreshed.
Evaluate new BI, analytics, AI, and automation capabilities to improve reporting maturity.
Ensure BI solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
Team Leadership
Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing BI and analytics team.
Define roles, responsibilities, development plans, and performance expectations for BI team members.
Manage workload, project priorities, and resource allocation.
Promote best practices in data modeling, visualization, analytics, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
Develop internal BI capabilities and support business user adoption of self-service reporting.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Master's degree in IT or related field and a minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience
or an additional 6 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
5+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, enterprise reporting, data warehousing, or related functions.
3+ years of experience leading BI, analytics, or reporting teams.
Strong experience with BI platforms such as Power BI, Domo, Tableau, Qlik, or similar tools.
Experience developing executive dashboards, operational scorecards, KPI reporting, and self-service analytics.
Strong understanding of data modeling, data visualization, reporting architecture, and analytics best practices.
Experience working with ERP, WMS, CRM, finance, supply chain, or operational systems.
Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into scalable reporting and analytics solutions.
Strong communication skills with the ability to present insights to executive and non-technical audiences.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, transformation-oriented environment.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in distribution, manufacturing, supply chain, automotive aftermarket, or wholesale operations.
Experience supporting ERP/WMS implementations or large-scale business transformation initiatives.
Familiarity with platforms such as NetSuite, AS400, Softeon, Evavi, or similar enterprise systems.
Experience with SQL, data warehouses, data lakes, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration platforms.
Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Lake, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar modern data platforms.
Experience with advanced analytics, predictive modeling, AI-enabled reporting, or process automation.
Experience establishing enterprise data governance or master data management practices.
