About the role
TAX ASSOCIATE
Brock CPAs is a privately held public accounting firm in Colorado, with offices in Boulder, Fort Collins, and Westminster. Our Westminster office is currently seeking dedicated, hard-working, self-starters with 1+ years of recent public accounting tax experience.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Prepare federal and state income tax returns for individuals, closely held businesses, and all entity types
Address and resolve inquiries from clients to conduct significant interactions with dignity and discretion
Perform and lead engagements throughout all phases of accounting, including tax research, tax planning, and projections
Develop and cultivate professional client relationships while addressing and resolving client inquiries
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum of bachelor’s or higher degree in accounting, finance, or related field from an accredited college/university
Tax Staff: 1-3 years of recent public accounting tax experience; taxation emphasis, a plus
Tax Senior: 3+ years of recent public accounting tax experience; CPA license or CPA eligible
Tax Supervisor: 6+ years of recent public accounting tax experience; CPA license required
Business income tax return experience (1065, 1120, 1120S), a plus
CPA license or CPA eligibility preferred
Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to demonstrate growth potential for advancement in the firm
Attention to detail without losing sight of the big picture
Strong communication, analytical, leadership, organizational, client service, and PC skills, including MS Office proficiency (CCH ProSystem and Axcess software proficiency are a plus)
Flexibility to work additional hours, as necessary
Salary Range: $68,000-$115,000/year depending on experience
