We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. Responsibilities
Prepare, analyze, and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activities to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes using financial software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Workday.
Conduct detailed data entry and analysis using Excel formulas, including VLOOKUP functions, pivot tables, and advanced data analysis techniques.
Oversee payroll management utilizing systems like ADP, Paychex, Kronos, or UltiPro while ensuring timely processing of employee compensation and benefits administration.
Support internal controls and compliance initiatives related to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements; assist with audits by providing necessary documentation.
Assist in corporate accounting activities including month-end closing, financial reporting, and audit preparation.
Collaborate with human resources on HRIS systems and benefits administration to ensure accurate employee data management.
Perform account reconciliation tasks across multiple ledgers including governmental and non-profit accounting frameworks.
Maintain thorough documentation of all accounting procedures and support continuous process improvements within the finance department.
Experience
Proven accounting experience with a strong understanding of GAAP principles and double-entry bookkeeping practices.
Prior experience working in public accounting or corporate finance environments is highly desirable.
Demonstrated proficiency in financial software such as QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, Ceridian, or similar systems.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data; experience with Excel data analysis is essential.
Familiarity with payroll systems like ADP or Paychex along with benefits administration processes.
Knowledge of SOX compliance standards and internal control procedures is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail combined with effective communication skills; ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
Experience in governmental or non-profit accounting is advantageous but not mandatory.

Pay: $91,269.48 - $107,872.92 per year
