Why does the job exist?
The Human Resource Generalist is there to support the needs of the HR team with various administrative and support tasks to keep operations moving efficiently throughout the department. The incumbent will work closely with the HR managers, the lead generalist, and senior generalists to accomplish these administrative tasks and provide support where needed. The incumbent will need to work collaboratively, be able to re-prioritze tasks as workload changes, and probably manage time to provide adequate support to the department.
How does it get done?
Support recruitment activities by creating job advertisements, certifying applicants lists and sending them to the Hiring Managers.
Prepare background check requests, request file reviews and conduct references.
Assist with creating files for new employees.
Collaborate with the HR team on special projects and administrative tasks as needed.
Other personnel activities upon assignment by supervisor.
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in any field. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling four (4) years may substitute for the required education.
Employment Requirements
Must possess a current and valid Driver's License. Pre-employment background investigation is required and conditional pending results.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage.
