Job Description

We are seeking a Data Center Physical Security Engineer to support the physical security operations of our data center facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment, ensuring compliance with access control procedures, and protecting personnel and company assets.

Responsibilities

Maintain and enforce physical security policies and procedures within the data center.

Manage employee, visitor, contractor, and vendor access to the facility.

Monitor and control the movement of assets, equipment, and materials entering and leaving the site.

Respond to security incidents, emergencies, and other operational issues.

Conduct routine security inspections and identify potential risks.

Coordinate with Facilities, Operations, IT, and other internal teams to support security objectives.

Work with third-party security vendors to ensure compliance with site requirements.

Support incident investigations and implement corrective actions when necessary.

Assist with security audits, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Experience in Physical Security, Security Operations, Facilities Management, Property Management, or a related field.

Strong understanding of access control, visitor management, and security procedures.

Experience working in data centers, critical facilities, corporate security, or other high-security environments is preferred.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving and incident response capabilities.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with access control systems, CCTV, and security monitoring platforms.

Experience managing security vendors or contract security personnel.

Knowledge of emergency response procedures and security compliance requirements.
