The Opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Developer, you will design, build and maintain applications using PHP, JavaScript, T-SQL and jQuery. You will collaborate with stakeholders and team members to deliver high-quality outcomes that are efficient and fit for purpose solutions. You will be working for a dynamic business which is constantly striving for innovative solutions to improve its processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, test, and maintain applications using PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, T-SQL, HTML5, CSS3, Python and Powershell
Build responsive and user-friendly interfaces that work across multiple browsers and devices
Design and implement server-side logic, APIs, and database integrations.
Optimize applications for improved speed and scalability
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and performance issues
Collaborate with staff, other developers and project managers throughout the development lifecycle
Maintain code quality through documentation, testing, and version control practices
Provide triage IT support and escalation to our desktop team
Experience and Qualifications required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related IT qualification.
Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, T-SQL, and jQuery
Knowledge of AJAX and JSON for asynchronous web development
Additional experience that would be advantageous includes:
Python and PowerShell development
HTML5 and CSS3
APIs, web services and version control systems
MSSQL and relational database management
About You
2+ years’ experience in a Development role
Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
A proactive problem-solver with a positive, can-do attitude
Flexible, adaptable and able to thrive in a changing environment
Self-motivated with a willingness to learn
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a team and build positive working relationships
