The Role

We’re looking for Senior Software Engineers who care deeply about product, engineering quality and customer impact.

This isn’t a role where you disappear into a giant org chart maintaining legacy systems. Our engineers work closely with product, design and leadership to shape what we build and how we build it.

You’ll have real ownership, high trust and the opportunity to influence architecture, tooling and technical direction as we scale.

What You’ll Be Doing

Building scalable backend systems and customer-facing products

Designing clean, maintainable, high-quality code

Collaborating closely with product, design and data teams

Solving complex engineering and operational challenges

Contributing to architectural and technical decisions

Improving performance, reliability and developer experience

Helping shape engineering culture and standards

You do not need experience in every part of the stack - strong engineering fundamentals matter more.

Requirements

Experience developing software in one or more programming languages from the list (Python, Java, C#, Go)

7+ years of software engineering experience in an industrial setting

Experience with data structures or algorithms

Experience building distributed systems

Excellent verbal communication skills. Good problem-solving skills. Team player.

Experience with UI/UX

Preferred qualifications

Proficiency in Python with experience in asynchronous frameworks (aiohttp, fastapi, etc)

Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm

Experience with RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, MongoDB

Experience with Flutter/Dart

Visa sponsorship costs

For Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship, ANNA covers all costs we are legally required to pay as your sponsoring employer - this includes the Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) fee and the Immigration Skills Charge (ISC).

Candidates are responsible for their own visa application fee and Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS), which are payable directly to the UK Home Office as part of the visa application process.
