Senior Application Engineer, Asia Pacific, Pressure Management

If you have some background in Inside Sales management and pricing, Emerson has an exciting role for you! You will be a part of the Project quotation team located in FCEC, Chennai and will be responsible for quality and competitive quotations while meeting customer deadlines.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Work closely with business managers (for PRV/IND/NG), LBPs to achieve the financial targets.

Receive requests for quotations, prepare proposals, and submit the quotations back to the LBP/Customer

Ensure one day turnaround on quotation request and ensure 100% accuracy

Seek agreement with LBP/Customer on technical details

Follow up on quotations sent to the LBP/Customer

Work with business managers (for PRV/IND/NG) for guidance on pricing, negotiations, and other specific details

Receive purchase orders, screen the order for technical and commercial feasibility

Ensure 12 hours turnaround for order screening upon receipt of purchase orders

Cross check with the Interco factories and Order Admin to meet the customer delivery request date

Build good working relations with LBPs

Support the achievement of Profit and Loss Goals

Prepare reporting package in a timely and accurate manner

Provide management support on all ad-hoc reports and analysis

Who You Are:

You have good attention to details and can review customer datasheet and provide optimal solutions that benefit both parties. You can understand the costing process for materials and able to optimize cost where possible to meet target price. You have a passion for learning about different products and also value winning projects through collaboration.You quickly and significantly act in constantly evolving, unexpected situations. You actively seek guidance from relevant sources to learn and upskill yourself.

For This Role, You Will Need:

Engineering Degree in Mechanical, Instrumentation or Chemical

Prior work experience of 2+ years in sizing and selection of relief valves and regulators

Basic knowledge of SAP

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

Prior work experience of 4+ years in sizing and selection of pressure relief valves and regulators

Good business sense and negotiation capabilities

Knowledge of commercial terms and conditions of sales will be an advantage.
