Key Responsibilities
Generate and issue invoices for travel services, including air tickets, hotel bookings, holiday packages, and corporate travel.
Monitor and manage accounts receivable to ensure timely collections.
Follow up with clients on overdue payments through calls, emails, and meetings.
Negotiate payment terms and resolve outstanding payment issues.
Maintain accurate records of receivables and customer accounts.
Reconcile customer accounts and allocate incoming payments accurately.
Monitor AR aging reports and prepare collection reports and cash flow forecasts.
Ensure compliance with company credit policies and financial procedures.
Respond promptly to client billing queries and payment-related concerns.
Coordinate with internal departments to resolve invoice discrepancies.
Maintain updated collection records and MIS reports in MS Excel.
Support month-end and year-end account closing activities.
Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure smooth collections.
Lead and guide the collections team (if applicable) to achieve collection targets.
Required Skills
2–5 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, or Collections (Travel/Tourism/Hospitality preferred).
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Strong understanding of Accounts Receivable processes and accounting principles.
Proficiency in Tally ERP and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, basic formulas).
Experience with ERP software such as SAP or Oracle will be an added advantage.
Familiarity with GDS or travel booking systems is preferred.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-handling skills.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.
Leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
