Security Lead Pacific North
Purpose of the Role
As the Security Focal Point for the Pacific North region, the Security Lead, based at the Los Mochis Manufacturing Site, is responsible for the security and protection of Bayer’s facilities, operations, assets, products, and personnel. The role aims to prevent or mitigate impacts, disruptions, and losses while safeguarding the Group’s integrity and reputation.
This position is accountable for all security-related activities within the assigned region and works closely with the National Security group on specific topics such as Crisis Management, Supply Chain Security, Anti-Product Crime, Security Operations Center (SOC), and Investigations.
Major Tasks
Act as the Security Focal Point for the Pacific North region.
Protect Bayer’s facilities, operations, assets, products, and personnel.
Prevent and mitigate security risks, disruptions, and losses.
Safeguard Bayer’s integrity and reputation.
Lead all security-related activities within the assigned regional scope.
Collaborate closely with the National Security team on key security matters and programs.
Key Tasks / Responsibilities
Security Strategy and Planning
Develop and implement security plans and programs based on appropriate risk assessments and audits, aligned with business needs and national, regional, and global security policies.
Ensure all initiatives are developed under a cost-benefit approach.
Security Framework and Governance
Develop and maintain a consistent site security framework, harmonized with national security guidelines provided by the Head of Security.
Ensure proper implementation, training, and awareness of the security framework across relevant areas and collaborators.
Security Systems Management
Develop, enhance, and maintain site security systems, including:
CCTV
Access Control
Intrusion Detection Systems
Work in close coordination with the Security Operations Center in Mexico.
Ensure compliance with global security guidelines for the adequate selection of security systems, including both hardware and software, based on:
Risk ratings
Local security conditions
BCC site level
Cost-benefit considerations
Supply Chain and Logistics Security
Support the Supply Chain Security and Logistics functions in implementing the relevant security strategy.
Coordinate and support:
Internal and third-party security audits
Escort activities
Verification and support of transportation units
Ensure facilities within the role’s scope comply with the required security measures, including standards aligned with C-TPAT/AEO guidelines.
Incident Reporting
Promptly report security incidents to the Security Lead Mexico, Site Lead, and SOC, providing the initial information required for timely registration in DMT.
Investigations and Legal Support
Assist and/or conduct security and criminal investigations, including product crime cases, in support of Security & Criminal Investigations, HR, and Compliance, when required.
Support local criminal processes under the guidance of the Head of Security, the Security & Criminal Investigations Coordinator, and LPC, including:
Contact with law enforcement authorities
Filing criminal complaints
Court appearances
Other related activities
Training and Security Awareness
Foster strong interaction and support for the Security function across the site and among all collaborators.
Deliver regular and relevant security training with support from:
the People Security Coordinator
the Security Operations Center
the Security Lead Mexico
other members of the Security organization
external security experts from government agencies, associations, or private institutions
Community and Cross-Functional Collaboration
Actively participate as a member of the National Security Community structure in Mexico.

Suggested Skills and Capabilities
