Role Summary
The Security Service Chief Western represents Corporate Security NORLA in the state of Nayarit, where the role is based. This position is responsible for supervising security operations primarily across the Tizates 1 & 2 and San Juan de Abajo 1 & 2 sites, ensuring the protection of Bayer’s facilities, operations, assets, products, and personnel in the region.
The role also supports the protection of contractors, carriers, and suppliers, with the objective of preventing and mitigating security risks, disruptions, and losses, while safeguarding site integrity and Bayer’s reputation.
This position is accountable for all site-related security activities, including monitoring security guard performance during their shifts, reporting security incidents, and maintaining close coordination with the Western Security Lead and key site stakeholders.
Major Tasks
Represent Corporate Security NORLA in Nayarit and act as the main local security focal point.
Supervise security operations across the Tizates 1 & 2 and San Juan de Abajo 1 & 2 sites.
Oversee the protection of Bayer’s facilities, operations, assets, products, personnel, contractors, carriers, and suppliers.
Prevent and mitigate security risks, operational disruptions, and losses.
Safeguard site integrity and protect Bayer’s reputation.
Monitor the activities and performance of security guards during their assigned shifts.
Report directly to the Western Security Lead and key site stakeholders on security-related incidents and relevant developments.
Key Responsibilities / What You’ll Do
Site Security Operations
Coordinate and control access for Bayer personnel, contractors, carriers, and suppliers on a 24/7 basis, using established procedures and documentation formats.
Ensure the functionality and continuous operation of all security-related electronic systems, including:
CCTV
Access Control Systems
Intrusion Detection Systems
Panic Buttons
Transport and vehicle inspection controls
Alcohol testing protocols
HSE-related protection devices, including fire protection systems
Incident Reporting & Response
Prepare shift reports and special incident reports in a timely and accurate manner.
Communicate relevant security situations to the direct manager as soon as possible.
Report security incidents to the Security Lead and work closely with the Security Services Chiefs to provide initial information for proper and timely registration.
Provide support during the implementation of emergency procedures at the site, including coordination with:
Industrial mutual aid groups
Site personnel
External authorities, when required
Investigations
Assist and/or conduct security and criminal investigations, including product crime cases.
Support Security & Criminal Investigations, HR, and Compliance teams when required.
Security Framework & Compliance
Develop and maintain a consistent site security framework aligned with national security guidelines provided by the Security Lead.
Ensure implementation, training, and awareness of security standards, procedures, and protocols.
Promote compliance with applicable security legislation and regulations.
Training & Awareness
Foster engagement and collaboration on security matters across the site.
Deliver regular and relevant security training with the support of the West Security Lead, the Security Services Chiefs, other internal security team members, and external security experts from government agencies, associations, or private organizations.
Supply Chain & Logistics Security
Support the Supply Chain Security and Logistics functions in the continuous monitoring and strengthening of security measures.

Qualifications and Experience
High school diploma or technical degree preferred
Relevant security experience or security-related background required
Experience in site security operations, incident response, and/or security coordination is highly desirable
Skills and Competencies
Strong communication skills and sound judgment to act decisively when needed
Knowledge and practical application of security-related legislation and regulations
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders
High level of confidentiality, loyalty, discretion, and integrity
Team-oriented leadership skills and experience in community engagement
